Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I take Melatonin EP120?
Our Melatonin EP120 supports many aspects of mind and body health, including healthy immune function, inflammation response, DNA replication, and sound sleep, so it can play a critical part in daily supplement regimen.^ Because of its support of natural circadian rhythms, we do recommend that you take this supplement before bedtime, because it can help you relax for a full night of restful sleep.*††
I sleep fine. Do I still need Melatonin EP120?
Yes, you may need melatonin. Because melatonin is so often associated with healthy sleep, it may sound surprising to hear this, but melatonin is critical for supporting actions of the immune system. Melatonin is also associated with cognitive strength, mental well-being, and antioxidant power as well. It is a truly a health-enhancing nutrient.*
Will taking a higher dose of melatonin at night make me groggy in the morning?
Taking melatonin and then immediately going to sleep may increase the potential for morning grogginess. Therefore, the dosage recommendations for the Terry Naturally® melatonin formulas are to take at least 1-2 hours before bedtime. While there are different philosophies around the optimal time to take melatonin, some suggestions are either at sundown (when melatonin production in the body begins) or approximately 6 hours before you mid-sleep cycle. For example, if you normally sleep from 10 PM to 6 AM, mid-sleep would be at 2 AM, and melatonin dosage should be taken at 8 PM (6 hours prior). This can help minimize the risk of morning grogginess.
